Supposedly, some of the areas are themed. As are some of the rides (Nemesis has a great theme).

But i do get what you mean and sometimes the term "theme park" seems a bit of a stretch. Same goes for most (all?) "theme parks" in the UK.

We booked Alton towers yesterday for 25 August, staying a night in the Hotel. Whilst it is clearly no replacement for our cancelled California trip, we are none the less, really looking forward to it. We last went 23 years ago!

We are booked for the 30th July , also were meant to be in Cali this August but hoping next year will be our year

Hex, Dual and 13 are all well themed as is the kids cbeebie section.

I think Hex has one of the best themes out of all the rides .
The queue line and story is just fantastic.
Will go and see the chained oak soon to make up for no Hex

We were supposed to be in california this summer too, Taking both big kids and there partners for the first time!

We have booked Alton towers in the encharnted village (i think thats what they call them) little house things for Monday.(ops then went a little crazy and booked Disneyland paris for next Fri)

Actually cant wait just need to get away for a few days.

So hope Monday goes well or hubby wont stop moaning about having booked Disneyland Paris.

Can you report what the enchanted houses are like as we are staying there soon.

They’re really cute .
We stayed in one last April , beds are really comfortable !
