Ideas for games via zoom

My parents will be spending Christmas on their own so I’m trying to think of ways to involve them on Christmas Day. We think we might be able coordinate dinner so we can prop the computer up at the table so we can have dinner together. Any ideas as to what else might work? I think charades might be ok. It’s so sad they are having Christmas on their own so I’m trying to think of ways to involve them other than a quiz as we are all quizzed out

How about a board game if you had their own dice to roll? Monopoly or Trivial Pursuits?

Great idea to have the laptops set up for lunch.

I know you said you’re quizzed out but Kahoot.com is great for online sharing quizzes (if not used already). Articulate is a good game and can be played via zoom, you’d need to send on a list of the words/organise in advance but it’s great fun.

You could play bingo by choosing your own numbered bingo cards and using a number generator online. I’ve done quite a few shorter rounds in the quizzes I’ve run which have included a memory game like the generation game where I pass lots of items in front of the screen and people have to remember them. Drawing competitions, either drawing each other or describe a picture and see who gets the closest to your picture.
I’ve picked up a couple of cheap games from Tiger and I’m going to drop bits off at friends houses so we can play across zoom ( mainly Party pong dance for £3 and sumo squat).
Macmillan have a couple of games u can download and give a donation for, they include a murder mystery, escape room and day at the races, I’m planning one of these between Xmas and new year, the reviews look good and it helps a charity.

We have a game called Welcome where you property develop a street. We play this with our son and family as you only need one set of cards which give the move options and each person has their own development sheet. We have found this is an easy game to play on line, doesn’t take too long and certainly does not start any wars as does Monopoly when the family play together (this game is now banned in our households).
