Arrived - only 40mins to get through MCO
Hi all,
Arrived yesterday afternoon on the Manchester 9.15am Thomas Cook flight. Great crew - all Scottish so not sure if they all had to come down to do the Manchester flight? Very friendly and great flight. Was pretty much last off the plane (row 42) and was fully prepared for a long wait to get through immigration... having flown into Fort Lauderdale last year and Miami the year before we hadn’t been to MCO for a number of years. Please to say that it only took 40mins! and just over an hour from getting off the plane to collecting the car from Hertz. So those of first must have walked pretty much straight through. Had a great officer who chatted about Star Wars - he asked what we did for a living (checking what we had put on our ESTA’s) and when the hubby said he work in prosthetics the officer discussed about lightsaber prosthetics! He didn’t ask for finger prints just did our photos (guessing as we were here at the same time last year on the same Esta’s?) 3 flights came in straight after ours - Mexico city and the 2 Virgin flights. As we left the hall the queue was all through the barriers. However the Virgin flight luggage carousels were already coming off. Our Cases and pushchair were there going around the carousel. So got them straight off. Walked straight to hertz - never used them before, but no hard sell. Got a Kia sportage which is fine for our needs - it fit 4 cases and the pushchair in no problem. The Here app Sat nav on my phone seemed to take us a long way round from the airport to the 192 and paid $4 in tolls. But arrived after 30mins. Up at 4am 😱 and now getting ready for Epcot - youngest wants to meet Baymax. So anyone here now or coming in the next few days hope immigration is ok for you and have a great time! |
