we fly in 67 days! same as you waiting game - cant go this year any other time due to both hubby and myself having different work restrictions on holiday allowance and also going with both "adult" children - one from Sept starting his final year in university and my daughter having work restictions on holidays ...its a nightmare ! booked this so in advance due to all our schedules makes me want to cry ! just would rather have peace of mind now and canx ! if we dont go we will have nearly 3 weeks off sat in home as hubbys work prob wont let him re arrange and have to take the time !

We are booked for 9th May, but in the process of cancelling now. I can't see it being any better by then, in fact, likely to be in the midst of the peak, so wouldn't want to travel anyway.

Booked separately, so currently on hold to Disney to cancel and get full refund from them. 2 hours 6 minutes, and counting.

Have cancelled premier inn for night before, and refund processed immediately. It gave a 30 day turnaround time, but since got confirmation email to say refund payment already approved.

Have sent email to Gatwick airport parking, as per their request currently, to ask for cancellation and refund. So that should go through OK.

Only thing left is Virgin flights. FCO advice doesn't currently cover our dates. I expect it will, but even if it doesn't and they refuse to refund, our travel insurance is with Virgin which covers FCO bans, and we paid on my Virgin credit card! haha. One way or another, if that FCO ban is still in place, Virgin is giving us our money back! lol

I didn’t think they could do that. I thought it was under the travel package 2018 law they have to refund
Looks like the rules are being changed according to an article from the Independent.

I would post the link but the forum won’t allow me to. You can find the article by searching “Package holiday refund rules” on Google.

How is it possible to change terms or law half way through to suit them? What happens if I lose my job and need that money with all this that’s going on.
