Mobile Cancelling with WDTC

I've reluctantly e-mailed Disney this morning to cancel our holiday, I'm kidding myself thinking it will go ahead now, especially when Boris is asking the most vulnerable to shield for 12 weeks, I just can't see everything being back to normal for some months to come never mind May.
Has anyone already cancelled with WDTC via email? The holding e-mail i got back from them says I need to call to make amendments so wondering if this includes cancellations.

I haven't emailed, but have been on hold since 9.30am in order to cancel our May trip. 2 hours 27 minutes and counting.

I asked and she said it has to be done via phone at the moment due to the circumstances, they can't do via email right now. Good luck.

10 business days for the money to be received back.

You do not need to get into the phone queue, maybe leave that for people that want to make changes or have a closer booking.

Send an email. We did last week and have had a confirmation that it has all been refunded in full, it took about a week and a lot less stressful than sitting on the phone for hours.

That is not the advice I was given today over the phone (which may have been updated since you emailed last week). She was very clear, that if someone arriving before 30 June wants to cancel, they need to call in, not email.

CM have been known to get things wrong...

As PP is not going until May, I’d at least try the email route before sitting on phone for over 2.5 hours.
