Mobile Do we think disney will eventually do virtual lines?

Hi

So we arent going until March and kind of hope for things to be a bit more normal by then. But I keep wondering about this lack of fp or virtual line. Surely when the parks.open, although there are less people in total, a vast majority are still going to go for the headliners and Disney will be left with a crowd of people in one place which is exactly what they dont want?

Personally no I think they will stop fast pass and virtual queues so they can have more people in the park.

If more are in the queue for rides then there is more space on the walkways and shops and restaurants etc.

Got a feeling that we will see the reservation system in for at least a year.

I am surprised Disney hasn’t said they are implementing virtual queues for the popular rides. I suppose they still could - the parks haven’t reopened yet and won’t open for another couple of weeks - but they haven’t mentioned this.

As you say, although the parks will have a reduced number of visitors, they will still head for the “popular” rides. Many of those rides will be running at reduced capacity in order to maintain social distancing. Plus people waiting in queues will have to keep 2 metres apart. That will result in longer physical queues. A virtual queue system would reduce the crowding of guests at these locations.

Maybe the numbers will be so significantly reduced that Disney doesn’t think it’ll be a problem and the queues will be short, even for the popular rides?

I think someone said that they won't be looking to out VL in yet which seems a bit odd to me. Like you say though things can (and hopefully will) change. even if they just had it for the likes of 7 Dwarfs, Flight of Passage etc. time will tell I guess.

I didn't really think of it like that to be honest, I was more thinking they'll end up with a ton of people in one place which is what they don't want wait and see I guess
