Not sure I would describe it as love at first sight, but I certainly knew the night I met my husband that it would change the course of my life. I was in a very good place and happy with where I was heading, so much so that I didn't answer his calls for 3 days after we met as I was so scared to get involved. Fortunately he persevered, my life changed for the better and we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this year! 🥰

I think you can be attracted to someone at first sight and love comes later, he might look lovely but be the nastiest person going. My dh was a cheeky chappie with curly hair and a gap in his teeth, use to dress really well and had lovely green eyes. He is now got very little grey hair and still Cheeky but also a bit Moany! He usually says no to everything I suggest but we end up doing it anyway.
We met at a party of mine that he gate crashed and I told him to F off! (True story)

There have been some very moving/emotional stories from my dibb family on this subject, but in the true sense of 'love at first sight' as opposed to love after the first night, I'm so not sure the love at first sight happens too often.

As always any contribution by my cyber family to any of my threads means more to me that you will ever know. The first time you posted I knew that I loved you all.

Wife said she fell in love with me when she was 16 and she saw me walking my dog. I was a mature 17 year old. She followed me on the bus, around the town and then on the bus back. As I was getting off she stood up and as I was going down the stairs shouted “do you want to go out tonight” I proceeded to fall down the first few steps, said yes and now 32 years later still happy the looney followed me around.

Does love at first sight exist, damn right it does 😍

A nice story, but please let us not confuse 'stalking' with love

I met my husband on Christmas Eve, we literally locked eyes and that was it! We chatted all night and we both knew that I was/he was the one.
We spent the holidays together and on my first day back at work he sent me a massive bouquet of flowers and a card thanking me for the best Christmas of his life. She moved in together a few weeks later.
There was definitely strong lust but it was also definitely love and still is both (lust & love) after 23 years 💗
