2020 Dining plan - kids credits

Just read on facebook: as of today qs-credits are differentiated between adults and kids.

So you can no longer use kids-credits on adult qs-meals.

What?! They can't retrospectively change this for those who've already bought our tickets/meal plans surely? Please can you add a link to the story you found?

I'm afraid they can. I noticed something in the Ts&Cs after booking that said "dining plan subject to change for arrivals from January 2020" and I guess that's what this meant. One of our kids is now a Disney adult and the other is extremely fussy so I'm hoping it won't affect us too much. But still annoying, especially coupled with the Ghirardelli changes which I'm still a bit gutted about!

Arghhh just read this too. Seems I am going to have to rethink my plans as I had hoped to split breakfast and lunch qs credits using adult meals for both (we are 2 adults, 2 kids). Looks like I'll be using snack credits for breakfast instead.

That's so annoying! If this is the case I'll be unimpressed but I guess it's fixable by changing the kids' park tickets to adult tickets. And Disney couldn't give two hoots for how unimpressed I am I guess.

We went in October and the leaflet we were given at POFQ stated this. Perhaps it was previously ignored by cast members but now the profit hungry management have clamped down and its being imposed?

It’s not a change though just an enforcement of the child’s plan, it has always said children should order from the child’s menu but in practice QS credits weren’t differentiated. I can appreciate it is annoying though.

From things I have read on Facebook I suspect the bigger issue was with the deluxe dining plan where child’s credits weren’t separated so people were booking it for one room and using it across two sets of adults

I wonder if you can still split one child’s QS to 3 snacks?
My son has so many many food allergies and food phobia’s it’s sometimes easier for him to snack throughout the day then have one meal at dinner time.

No reason why you shouldn’t be able to do this from what I’ve read so far...

From what I’ve seen on Facebook of you have booked with Disney you can pay the difference between a child’s ticket and adults ticket (I think £30) so that a child 9 and under can get an adult dining plan. I don’t know how true that is? But I guess it’s worth asking Disney for anyone that has booked with them to see?
