cyclops Trip in 2018

Hi all,

Myself, family and friends are planning a trip in 2018 for my 30th Birthday.

Due to this, I will now be with out 'Cat sitters'. Has anyone come across this problem before? What did you do?

My cats are indoor cats, so I would need recommendations for pet sitters (so they dont have to leave the comfort of their home). I am not keen on the idea of a Cat hotel, unless it has come recommended, but I dont know anyone who has used one. Has anyone used one on here? I am NW, UK based, so if anyone has any recommendations, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kel

We have an indoor cat too. We usually ask family to stay with him as he hates being on his own, or failing that get ftiends or family to pop in twice a day.

Never done a cat hotel or used a sitting service though...

Hi,

This is what we do too, but all my close friends and family (that I would trust to look after my boys) are all travelling with us!

I am a little at a loss at the moment, and it's starting to stress me out, and set my anxiety off.

I always put my cat in the cattery when we go away. The one we use also looks after rescues on behalf of the local CPL, and it's actually where we found her originally when looking to adopt. So the staff there are already familiar with her and look forward to each time she comes to visit. I am SE though, so not much good as a recommendation!

Highly recommend petscountrymanor/

Known the person that runs this company since high school (back in 2000!) She's a passionate animal lover; and visitors to her cattery are well looked after. Check the reviews, pictures and videos she posts.

She has invested her life into this, and gone on from strength to strength

I had this problem last year, but for my dogs. I couldn’t use kennels as my dog was elderly and needed to be at home. I used this website trustedhousesitters/gb/ and found a lovely couple to come and look after everyone. It’s a great scheme and they do full checks on the house sitters too.

I have 5 cats and 2 rescue dogs. Have used TRUSTED HOUSESITTERS now for over 3 years. I wouldn't use anyone else. All sitters have checks of some sort, some more than others. They stay in your home, look after your home and your pets.

You will need to pay a registration fee, and then complete your profile and what you are looking for in the care of your pets. All very self explanatory. Post the dates you are looking and off you go. You can either wait for sitters to contact you and you can also contact sitters looking for assignments, you then make a choice of whom you find the most suitable for your pets needs. Simple. You leave your home spotlessly clean and return to find it just as you left it for your sitters. Hope this helps.

Thanks all.

I am going to look into this more and take on your advice! However I do wish I could take my babies with me!
