Book as early as possible I would say, we have always gone on the weekend as the other replies have mentioned as you then avoid a busy day at the parks..

its a great day, very relaxing and chilled...with going at the weekend it always breaks up the holiday for us with a relaxing day

Cabana's are great and pretty sure now you can book in advance without the Elite package (always used to be 30days out if you just wanted a cabana only I think).

These look great! The dc ones provided are very good and well sealed (says me who wore contact lenses the entire day and didn’t get one drop of water in them) but these look fab for kids. We noticed some people in Hawaii wearing them and wondered where they were from, so thank you for the link!

Sorry to butt in, but does anyone know the difference in cost between the elite package (which I think I understand includes the full photo package) and the full photo package? I know we won't be able to choose so have already resigned myself to needing to purchase the full photo package - just wondering if I should just go the whole hog in that case and get the cabana! Thanks

Think it’s 429 instead of 229 but see here under special occasion packages

That's what I've done - booked it for a Saturday which is also my second full day. That way I avoid the chaos of the Disney parks and will still have plenty of time to re-book if it's closed because of bad weather that day.

Thank you everyone for all your replies, am now looking at the cabana option 😀 Great advice re booking weekend and early enough in holiday to allow for a 're book' if weather not great on planned day. Am so loving the planning and finding out information- it's addictive and driving my family mad! LOL
