Oh no, I did think it was more likely to be a mistake answering the questions than having a visa for Canada.

As long as he can get an Embassy appointment it should be quite straightforward as his ACRO will be clear. There is no guarantee though. I hope he manages to sort it all out in time.

When applying for a visa it’s also just worth noting that your closest embassy might not necessarily be the quickest re: appointments - if time is of the essence?
Hope you get it sorted quickly.
Unfortunately these things happen, we all make mistakes. At least you know why now x

We've got six months. He's back from Greece tomorrow and will get on it immediately he's back. He lives in Brighton so London would be the closest and we live in South Wales so maybe Cardiff is an option. It looks like about 6 weeks for the next available appointment and the email said it should be easily solved at the appointment - so I'm hopeful!

I am fairly confident you should be able to get this sorted in time and well done for getting on the case with it.

I think this could be an extremely useful thread for those who have similar issues it could also serve as a lesson IMHO not to leave ESTAS until the last minute - which you haven't done Which is why you can get it sorted in time.

It would be goodie if you could update this thread with any updates

I think it is easier to do than people think. Particularly when scrolling down on a computer, it you don’t click off the answer and scroll down, it will scroll the answers and change them. Ensure you click off it first before scrolling. Does that make sense? Good job you did it with plenty of time to spare. You’ll get it sorted, I’m sure.

Has he travelled to any countries that disqualify you from ESTA? I travel to Iraq for example so I have to get a visa.
