Discovery Cove in wet weather
Hi so we're due to fly out on Saturday and seem to be leaving good weather behind and flying into days of solid rain, which is typical of our holidays
We have a DC day booked on Sun 27th - does anyone know what happens there if it's raining? Are you still allowed in the water? Hoping the weather improves! |

Hi
I think from reading other peoples posts that they will let you change the day for a later date in your holiday if your ring and ask them. People seem to say that they are very accommodating and helpful.

Ok thanks. I wonder how they manage to accommodate an influx of extra guests from a rained off day when they have a limit to how many people they allow in each day. Fingers crossed for the weather!

you cant go in the water if there is lightening within x km of the park
always advisable to do it early in your holiday so you have some wiggle room if needs be, as above you can reschedule if there are places available on your given day |

Not sure this is entirely relevant but when we went in 2015 we couldn't do the underwater trek thingy due to poor visibility. We'd done the Dolphin swim, had breakfast and lunch and a thoroughly great day but had to re-book the 5 of us doing this particular activity. DC allowed all 14 of us to have a free day later in the holiday (no Dolphin swim ) to accommodate us.
It was July/August time though and we were lucky to find a day when they weren't full and could get us in. |

That's good to hear. We have one day at the end of our fortnight where we have nothing planned, just hoping it doesn't come to that. I know I shouldn't worry as I can't control the weather, but after years of holidaying in the UK with our raincoats I was hoping for some sun!

Just bear in mind that weather systems are so crazy in Florida. It can be torrential rain in one place and beautiful and clear 3 miles away. The weather forecasts will also show rain as the daily summary if there is going to be ANY rain that day. It's very unlikely you'll have 2 weeks of solid rain all day every day. It will be fine.
