James & Gemma do Tokyo Disneyland - Day 5

James & Gemma do Tokyo Disneyland - Day 5

We got into the park at at opening and headed straight for one of the busiest rides in the park. Monsters Inc Ride & Go Seek which already had a 180minute wait time. So we grabbed got in the queue for a fast pass and 20 minutes later we had a pass

We then headed over to Pooh’s Hunny Hunt preparing ourselves for maybe a 1 or 2 hour wait. But no, 160 minutes. So we decided to give it a miss today and try for a fast pass another day.

We had another wonder through fantasyland taking lots of pictures.

And past the rather sad looking Dumbo ride, I think this is well overdue for refurbishment

We then headed over to the rivers of America and on to Tom Sawyer’s Island (Make sure if you go to pick up one of the special maps in English)

We then headed over to the Beaver Brothers Explorer Canoes

It was then off to the Plaza restaurant for Lunch and a very special Burger!

After Lunch we went into Tomorrowland where we had two exceptional bit of luck. The first was there were still fast passes available for Space Mountain

The second was we won tickets to see One Man’s Dream 2 – For those who don’t know this is a show put on in Disneyland which you can not simply queue up to get in to. You have to enter a lottery. You go in to a building where there are machines, you put your park tickets in and select which show time you would like to see (You can only enter it once a day). It then randomly selects if you can have tickets or not and we won

We only had 30minutes before we could go in for the show so we had a little look round tomorrowland.

I then got some popcorn (There’s more on this later) and we went into the show.

By the time we got out it was time for the parade

After the parade we popped back to our hotel room quickly wrap up a bit warmer for the evening and also enjoy some bits we picked up from the bakery. Oh and take a pic of the gorgeous Sunset from our window

We then went back to the park to have our ride on Monsters INC Ride & Go Seek

After the ride we decided to get a couple of pictures of the castle all lit up before heading for our ride on Space Mountain.

We then got ourselves into Position to watch the Electrical Parade, which apart from the music was really good.

Once I’ve finished uploading the video to You Tube I’ll embed it here

After this we watched the firework…Which was a huge disappointment and only lasted 5minutes maybe 10 at a very push and they weren’t even done over the castle!

It was then back to the monorail and off to the Hotel.

Tomorrow... Mount Fuji

Loving all the food here! It still seems crazy to me all these long queues! I wonder what the reason is, both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland have higher yearly attendance and the queues never get this bad. Good job you are spending a few days in the parks, I doubt anyone could get a lot done in a day. How lucky to get chosen for that show! How was it?

I think its because of the huge population, Japan is massively over populated :-)

The food items look amazing. And despite the crowds you seem to be getting a fair bit done.
I have a question re the "One Man's Dream Show - is it still photography only and can you video?
