Can anyone give me their opinion please is $1.236 dollars to the pound a good exchange rate. I am going to New York in January and haven't been following the rates so I was just wondering.

No it's terrible. It's only been marginally lower. I would personally wait as hopefully brexit won't be still being debated by then but it's a gamble.

It was $1.18 last month so it has improved slightly! Who knows what will happen after the end of October ... you could always buy some now and some nearer to your trip?

We got near $1.50 this time last year, blame Brexit.

The best rate was either today, last week, last month., 1,2,3,4,5 or more years ago, OR tomorrow, next week, next month, 1,2,3,4,5 or more years ahead.
