Ach you are but a baby, I was practically sitting up and eating puréed lobster by the time you entered this world.

As soon as I read you were going to Narcoossee’s I knew my arm would be twisted, it’s a tradition to eat there now! I’ve added it to our line-up. Glad to see you enjoyed the mussels as they were the appetizer I was leaning towards when I looked at the menu yesterday. Nev’s pork looks gorgeous and I am over the moon you enjoyed your main. You saved the best for last! I think they won’t let you pay the upgrade to the fillet on the dining plan? Very sad if true. I’m swaying between the surf and turf and the scallops. Now I've said that I'll probably end up with the salmon haha.

I can’t believe the overwhelming green on top of your meals at BZ! 😨 Narcoossee’s on the other hand looks delightful - we are heading there on Wednesday.

What you have to do is order the filet main and pay for the lobster enhancement on the plan or at least that’s what I have done so I think it’s still the same ...you never used to have to do that you could have it as a main at no extra cost x

The crab nachos look good, what a shame about the rest of the food. I’m pleased you finally got a nice lobster with your steak.

You are a genius, why didn't I think of that?!

I think I may get OH to do this as I am leaning towards one of the seafood dishes but we'll see.

Claudette was your mash lumpy?

What a great tradition to have! I really enjoyed the mussels, there was a lot more sauce than can be seen in the photo and it was delicious.

Good to end on a high note.

The green stuff was weird, how it got out of the kitchen without somebody saying this doesn't look right, is a mystery to me.

My favourite nachos now, love the colours. I will have no choice but to go back for them.

No the mash was not at all lumpy, it was quite gloopy though, but it tasted so god I didn’t mind.

Day 18: Travel home day (airport and plane)

We are now at home. On Friday we got a late checkout so we had breakfast in the lounge then took our time packing before leaving for the airport at 1pm.

I sometimes book a final lunch at resort but this time I wanted to try one of the non Disney chains and had picked out Bahama Breeze for lunch. Unfortunately when we got there it looked really busy and we were told it was a thirty minute wait for a table. No thank you.

After rebooking our BA flights, I was travelling UC whilst poor Nev was in economy, with the Bahama Breeze option being taken away, we decided to see what the lounge had to offer. Virgin uses the Delta lounge, unfortunately they would not let Nev in! I have never been to a lounge were a single guest could not be brought in, but they would not budge. Finally I gave up pleading and told Nev I would see him by the baggage carousel in London.

I firstly found somewhere to sit, there was plenty of space but not many options by an electrical socket, eventually I found one although I had to sit on the edge of my seat for the wire to reach. I then headed to the bar and food station. I was advised that the sauvignon blanc had to be purchased and only the Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio were complimentary, so I ordered the Pinot and went to get a plate of food. It was mainly an uninspiring looking salad selection, I went for the only hot food which was a fried rice and was relatively pleasant, although I had to eat around my only food hate, the dreaded peas! I also didn’t eat the cold pasta which is also shown on my plate.

After a little while, I got bored in the lounge so texted Nev and we decided to meet up and try and find somewhere else to eat. We ended up in Outback Steakhouse where we had diet cokes and I had a mushroom and Swiss cheese burger and Nev had the chicken and bacon sandwich. Again these burgers were pleasant but nothing special. I am wondering if the fantastic food at Planet Hollywood have spoiled all future burger experiences for me.

We boarded on time. I requested a Kir Royale for my pre dinner drink but they were out of cassis so they made me something with mango instead which was lovely. They also went to get Nev and in fact we ended up having a couple of these each, before he had to return to his seat for dinner. I cannot remember all the dinner options but I chose salmon mousse to start and the filet of beef for main, but they had run out so I had vegetarian gnocchi instead. The food was very good, particularly the mousse. Back in economy, Nev had pulled pork, with mash and baked beans. We both skipped breakfast.
