But none of this is compulsory so do whatever you like. I do what’s expected as I would feel guilty if I didn’t. That’s my problem, and is clearly costing me to do so, but again, it’s my choice.

We didn’t tip a lady who organised us a shuttle from the airport. We didn’t tip her as we didn’t have any small notes. I still feel terrible about it now.

I also enjoy a good debate, said as much to my DH this morning when he was asking me what I was doing!

it has also made me question our own tipping habits, but I just don’t have the nerve to tip low if I see no reason to do so, so I just suck it up.

That is the really good thing about the debating - it forces tou to think into why you think the way you do and that maybe others have a better view.
It would be a sad and incredibly boring world if we all thought the same. I think I have said before, I learn way more from those that have a different opinion to me than from those that agree.

It is the nerve thing that stopped me actually tipping lower.
