USA Road Trip from New York to California!

hey guys!
so I've seen a few things like this on here and thought I would love to hear your tips and tricks for my trip.
Me and my friend are embarking on a giant road trip in October 2021! we are going to be hiring a car full size already got prices for it however if you guys have any websites would be appreciated!
were looking at around £1300 for the car hire including the one way fee for 30 days for a decent size car. We are going to fly indirect from the Uk to New York and then back from San Fran to the UK.

were going to be traveling to the following states and towns (in order) :-

New York
New Jersey
Baltimore
Washington DC
Virginia
Charlotte North Carolina
Savannah Georgia
Alabama
Nashville Tennessee
Memphis
Little Rock Arkansas
Dallas Texas
Oklahoma City
New Mexico
Flagstaff Arizona
hit the grand canyon
Las Vegas!
Anaheim California ( FOR DISNEY OBVIOUSLY!)
Hollywood California
San Francisco

were going to be stopping in motels and Air BnBs mostly we do have the trip pre planned. but would love your feedback and any hotels to stay in that are decent and in budget and also restaurants in states or things to do and see!
we do love Halloween hence why we are going in October
so spooky stuff welcome! Halloween horror nights is a must for us to!

thankyou so much guys!

Oh wow sounds amazing!
The only hotels I can help you with and recommend are the Columbus Motor Inn in San Fran, The Signature Suites MGM in Vegas and Thunderbird Lodge in the Grand Canyon.
We stayed in Buena Park which is next door to Anaheim but with much cheaper hotels, we stayed in the Radisson Suites. We had an Air BnB in Hollywood, not a great area to stay to be honest.
When we went to New York last year we had an Air BnB in Union City, NJ which is just across the Hudson River. DO NOT stay there! However neighbouring Hoboken is just lovely and we wished we were staying there instead. It is very easy to get the PATH train into Manhattan from there

Edit to add from Grand Canyon to Vegas you must stop at Seligman, the birthplace of Route 66 and the town the Disney film Cars was based on. We had lunch at Roadkill Diner which was really nice
Restaurants
San Fran - Hollywood Café (not cheap but totally worth it!) & Boudins
Also visit the town Sausalito over the Golden Gate Bridge
Las Vegas - Grand Lux Café in the Venetian also Cabo Wabo
New York - Junior's, Ryan Maguire's & George's Diner
A good cheap but decent place to eat in California was In & Out Burger, they were really tasty!

Las Vegas - can recommend the Carriage House Hotel no resort fees or casino but it's a very short t min walk to the Strip. usually around $99

Anaheim - the Tropicana has had a refurb recently and is across the road from Disney entrance.

Sounds a fab trip with a lot of miles - why no Bar Harbor or Niagara 🙈🙈😜
