when you say the same price are we comparing like for like?

ie/ both same * hotels etc etc.. as i cant see how a flight to bali can be cheaper than lanzarote ...

im sure feb falls in bali rainy season?, we went in May & was suggested May-August was the 'best' time to go weather wise

also was iirc a 17 hour flight incl a stop in singapore

Yes, January and February are in the rainy season with some real bargains for accommodation. Temperatures are pretty high all year round.

I am quite puzzled about Lanzarote being more expensive than Bali ! Even in summer we had flights for £150 return. I just checked a random week from a London airport and you get a return to Lanzarote in February for less than £40 each ( more from Manchester and not half term week)
For me given a choice it would be Lanzarote simply due to the length of the flights.
We have been to the Canaries in the winter and the weather has been lovely.

Bali is my dream destination and I would choose that if the weather wasn’t going to be impossible.

I’ve been to Lanzarote in the winter and it didn’t wow me.

But it’s down to personal preference I suppose.

The flights to Bali can be about the same as Florida prices, Lanzarote is best if you don't want the long haul flight but if its for a special birthday I would do Bali and visit Australia as well seeing as you are almost there.
I love all 3 places . But Bali was kind of different and both of the hotels we stayed in were fabulous.
We did 3 nights in Ubud , right on the edge of the monkey forest, hotel was called the bali bohemia, it was amazing.we had the best villa that they have , with its own pool, and it was something like £30 a night ! Then 3 nights in seminyak at the cicada resort , also amazing . We hired a driver from the 1st hotel who took us all over, to places we never would have found and we had breakfast with the orangutans, you got chance to play with them and a good 10 mins for photos with them . Australia is also fab to visit .

I have been thinking as I better choose Lanzarote for a week and leave Bali another times until I go to Australia so I can stop over to Bali.

In February I’d look at Gran Canaria if you want it warm enough for the pool etc. Lanzarote can be quite windy and cool. We went in early April last year and it still
Wasn’t warm enough for the pool until about 2pm. Gran Canaria has the best sun record for all the canaries and been in February myself it was much more pleasant and warm!
