Airport lounge in Dublin

We’ve got two free lounge passes to use in Dublin airport before our flight next month from American Express, and this will be the first time either of us have ever used anything like this.

Can I check if this is before or after pre clearance? Im hoping to be able to enjoy ourselves and relax instead of being weary of the queue for that.

How does it work?

can you eat and drink whatever you want, or is it a one per person type thing? I’m not really sure what to expect haha.

There are lounges in Terminal 1 and 2 but the 51st and Green lounge is after pre clearance. If it is this one, we have been once and it was nice and bright with loads of seats and tables. When we were there it was morning there were cereals, breads etc but no hot food. You helped yourself but there was a person serving the speciality coffee and alcoholic drinks.

We enjoyed relaxing there before boarding our flight.

our flight is is at around 4pm from terminal 2. Would you recommend giving lots of time to sit there? Normally I try to leave pre clearance to quite late so I’m not bored once we get through since the options are so limited.
