Thomas Cook ceases trading

We had booked our flights for next May with Thomas Cook, so not ideal for us but very grateful we still have months to seek a refund through CC and rebook flights. Feeling so sorry for all of those people that were due to fly out in the next few days/weeks and now may have to cancel their holiday, for people stuck on holiday who now have the stress of trying to get home, plus of course the staff. Sad news this morning!

My sister in law is currently on adoption leave and herself and her wife have worked for thmas cook for approx 17 years so this is such sad news. My heart goes out to everyone involved in this.

Sad news. Booked many a holiday with Thomas Cook and flights. More job losses and empty shops on the high street. Really thought they would have been rescued. Sad times.

Such sad news for those affected. Having gone through a similar process earlier in the year, I really do feel their pain and frustration. We are just 3 weeks back from a TC package deal to Orlando. And can't speak highly enough of the professionalism and quality of service experienced from the staff. We are booked for 2 weeks at the Beach club Aug 2020 with them, so we'll just have to look at either rebooking elsewhere and putting in a claim or a total replan.

It really is sad.
We returned Florida with them last Wednesday And spoke to cabin crew who were all putting on a very brave face but we could tell they were living on a knife edge.
People WILL get home.
It’s an inconvenience for this who have booked for next year but it WILL be sorted.
I sincerely hope staff can find alternative employment as soon as possible.
Our 2 daughters have both worked for TC in the past so they are both sad and have friends who are waking up jobless this morning. 😔

What sad news to wake up to. I really feel for all the staff who will loose their jobs. The impact on staff customers and beyond will be huge. Had some fantastic holidays with Thomas Cook we found the experience second to none.

Really sad about this- I used to work for TC as Cabin crew and my brother was a rep abroad for them. So the company has been a part of our family and it's the end of an era for the British travel industry.

Very sad for the customers as well- although it may not be as bad as losing your job, we all know how hard we work and look forward to our holidays.
