Mobile July Princess cruise cancelled this mornong

Sigh.

Our second cruise in July has been cancelled by Princess who are extending their ‘pause in operations till fall’.

I’d expect others to follow soon.

We have a med cruise booked with Celebrity, yesterday they announced a policy that you can move to the same cruise next year for the same price and keep your perks, I did wonder if it was a precourser to them extending the cancellations x

That’s a good offer and I do think they will all pause for longer than they initially hoped to.

However, I also think the incentives and offers for new cruises will be bigger and better than ever to try and entice people.

We had a message last night that our two Princess cruises (August and November) had been cancelled. I’m now dismantling other parts of the trip - accommodation, car hire, flights - fortunately most of it is refundable and we don’t have much financial exposure, that’s if they pay up!😱
The funny thing is, one of the cruises we booked was on a £1 deposit and if we leave the money with them, they will give us £100pp future cruise credit. Can’t be bad!

Our November cruise was also cancelled ☹! Our third try this year!

We had only paid the deposit? Does anyone understand the FCC option? Can I use that towards an already booked (£1) deposit cruise for next year or does it have to be a brand new booking?

We paid £391 for our initial deposit, then I added the drinks, Wi-Fi, gratuties package they introduced with another deposit of £147, so total deposit paid is £538? Do they double the whole amount for the FCC does anyone know? 🤔Not sure what to do! Already have a Celebrity cruuse credit! 😮

We moved ours with celebrity 3 weeks ago, kept all our perks, same cruise next year and was 100 pounds cheaper.

We were booked on the Iona for 13th June. We knew as soon as the lockdown started we wouldn't have been able to travel due to shielding. We could have taken the 110% FCC for another cruise but kept the booking live, expecting that P&O would extend their suspension, and therefore benefit from the 125% FCC. They did just that I we ended up £300 better off.

Princess is also part of Carnival so I would expect they may also offer the 125% FCC.
