It's probably not such a big deal but I suspect this may be one of the hardest times of year for some.

I'm now at the point I cant remember the last time I had an alcoholic drink and there is booze in the house.

I gave up wine for October, I am also doing SlimmingWorld, it did help, I have had some since but not as much just a glass whilst out with a meal and a shared bottle last weekend. Off on an A i holiday to Mexico soon so will definitely have some cocktails. Then will probably do a dry January. I do miss it but can manage without. DH usually joins me which helps.

I think sometimes it's breaking a routine- I don't drink during the week and don't even think about it, but by Friday lunchtime I am craving a nice cocktail or a cold beer because I usually have a few drinks on the weekend- good luck

That’s me to a tee - don’t think about it during the week at all even at social events I would only have a glass of wine if felt really like it (and then I don’t drink at weekend following to offset ) but come Friday afternoon I could murder a nice long G&T in the evening and usually do !
