Well, I have my Christmas lunch and buffet tea at my sister and BIL’s and they don’t charge.
But I usually take a few bottles of wine, cake and pay for the turkey. My BIL’s sister takes mince pies, chocs, twiglets etc. I think my nephew contributes to the beer stash. |

I am so disappointed that my thread isn't being taken seriously. With regards the dessert I usually hang around my local supermarket before they close on Christmas eve and wait for them to reduce the desserts in the fridge cabinets (I remove the price reduction stickers so my guests think I've paid full price).
I always provide quality wine, and this year I have a bottle of blue nun for my guests, which is seen by wine connoisseurs as a very upmarket wine. Using the small wine glasses I have there is plenty in the one bottle for all 7 adults to have 2 glasses each. |
