What we have every Christmas Eve that I’m not working;
He baked ham, chips and fried egg with pickles

We usually have a take away but this Christmas Eve two of our Grandchildren will be here as both Daughter and Son-in-law are working and we are their child care bubble.
We are having a themed buffet . “ Honey I Shrunk the Buffet” ( they love the film)
I have bought mini versions of everything , hot dogs, burgers, pies, cakes etc.
It will be the only time we see them so wanted it to be fun.

Peter is working in Waitrose and I am working from home. So we have decided on a cold feast - meats, cheeses, crackers, grapes and wine.

It is one of my favourite meals, and we will splurge and get quality stuff.

Exactly what we do too Gill. I like it because I just lay it out and everyone can help themselves rather than cooking- oh except the camembert I have to bung in the oven but not too strenuous for me

We usually go out for a big family meal but obviously this won't be happening this year so it will be a takeaway for just the three of us.

Just ordered some fillet steak from the butchers ... not going out at all over Xmas deserves some treats!
