We are doing my Wife's family tree and back in the early 1900's there are loads of Men called Albert, Ernest, Archibald etc. Plus loads of Women called Ethel and Elsie.

Better than my side of the Family. Who calls their Son Christmas! Especially when he was born in October.
Summer is a better name for my daughter, she was born in August and never wears shoes unless she has to. Christmas maybe for a December baby! 🤷

She does or Kit or Kittycat but mostly Cath she hates Cathy but the family do mainly call her Catherine. Of course one of her brothers used to call her Cathy, amongst other things, when they were younger.

A lot of these old names are back in vogue- Alfred, Archie, possibly not Ernest ! My family tree is full of William’s and that is my sons name.

Elsie was in the top 20 girls names last year !

Who would name their child Christmas

My name definitely gives me away as middle aged woman. I don’t think Lynda will ever be in fashion again !

It was only when I was researching him I found out his proper name. I always knew him as Great Uncle Chris not Christmas!

As an aside my Wife hasn't been known by her proper name since she was about 5.

Wasn’t Honor Blackman’s bond character called ‘Pussy Galore.’

Not sure I’ve ever met a woman called Pussy?
