We like to do 2 weeks, more of we could.
The teens can hire kayaks, paddle boards, bikes.
You could all hire a boat.
There’s so much to do on the Island. It’s our favourite place.

We did a week in 2019 with kids aged 18, 16 and 11 and absolutely loved it, but we would happily do 2 weeks next time.

Never got bored and still didn’t manage to do everything we wanted. Cannot wait for the opportunity to go back. Our week is detailed in my ‘5th element’ trip report (link in my signature) if you fancy seeing the house we rented and what we got up to.

Hi Rachel, a week is a perfect amount of time (although I would go for longer!)
Your kids will be the perfect age, there is as much or as little to do as you want. Ami accommodations were who we booked through in 2018 and they were great, if I remember rightly they have a contact number you can call for free from the U.K. I asked them specific things we were looking for in a house and she shortlisted about 10 for me to choose from.
We are going back in 2022 too so may see you there!

We go for a week every time, never seems long enough! We were planning on going for 2 or even 3 weeks in 2021 but we are going now with family members, their first time outside of Orlando so we will just be doing a week again in 2021 - when we go again alone we will do at least 2 weeks, if it was up to me I would stay 4 weeks on the Island

Thanks, Alicia! I have seen some beautiful properties on there, shame we cant book now! Only issue i'm having is that DD will be due her GCSE results that year, I would rather go away at the end of August, into September but I need to find out if we have to be home to collect them, or if they can email/post/or send my mum to collect them! Who knows after all this! They might change it completely! Ah, if we're out there at the same time, a possible cocktail on the beach might be required

Thank you! I think a week would be fine for us, as it's the first time, that way we can enjoy Orlando for a week/ten days and then drive down to relax for a week!

I loved reading your trippie, Helen! Between you and Smithlane, it's given me the itch to try it! I might even go and read it again!

Just read scottish nellie’s AMI report. Feeling a bit sad as we should have been there last week with DD and DSIL but it brought back some lovely memories. Thanks for the great photos
