It’s in the best position near to all the amenities and has great views across one of the ponds.

This is a view from our room in block 62. And it’s the one on the far right looking at the buildings.

We’ve also stayed on peninsula road (block 28) which was also a great spot but not as good as 62.

About 5 minutes, the boat stop is next to the HH.

My experience - never request a single block. A popular block is a popular block, the resort is DVC and thus near 100% capacity year round, give as many options as possible.

Agree

Though that said we’ve stayed at OKW six times and always requested Millers Road and have never got it once!

We stayed in block 62 last March and loved the location there! We didn't have a car so were taking the Disney busses, and a big plus point for us, was that our room was close to both the Peninsular Road bus stop as well as the Hospitality House one at the lobby. So we could get *on* the bus at the last stop, missing the entire resort loop, and get *off* at the first stop, again missing the entire resort loop. It made the bus journeys to the parks all feel a lot faster because of that, especially compared to SSR where our bus stop was the first one, so on the way to a park we had an extra 10-15 minutes from the resort loop added, easily!

Especially when you want a block with lifts.

We never got near our request either.

I’d give them say 10 blocks.

Also OP I think is cash which usually rules out all Hospitality House classified rooms.

You need Congress at SSR.

I’ve only ever stopped on Turtle at OKW and it is a similar long trip when back through the gates.

I have however walked and surveyed the entirety of OKW (in fact I’ve run around the resort numerous times), in order to get a lay of the best and worst rooms so I could do that post. 62 is indeed a fine block, but if you just select that chances are slim.

We stayed their 3 times, never requested an area, as like to try different places - and couldn't pick.

Peninsular Road was good, we has view of gold course, a green, which was good, and a short walk to main area, great for buses (stop close to villa, or walk to main depot).

Other 2 times was Turtle Pond, this has a small pool which was great, and also the bonus of a snack bar - then of course you are not walking distance to main area - but plenty of buses to hop on.

I think we all liked the Turtle Pond area for quite pool.

The rooms are fab and really spacious, and we know 3 families, including us, who got upgraded to 2 bedroom villa on first stay (in in August school holidays too) - but not upgrades since.

The plus side of being spread out is it made it a lot more relaxing - more like a private country club , which I guess it kinda is, rather than a Disney resort (i.e. no food hall, but food halls can be a bit manic) - garden grocery delivery is a must if no car.
