Its really straight forward, Just leave yourself 1-2 hours to transfer in Amsterdam.
If you prefer MCO then you can land in a quite a few US airports first NY, Atlanta, Detroit to name a few.
The extra advantage of landing in one of these is as soon as you land at MCO you are an internal flight so straight through, no immigration hall to deal with.
Don't be put of by indirect, its really straight forward and can save you time and money.
Once you have factored in petrol money, parking, overnight hotel, drinks and food, shuttle buses etc the extra cost of flying locally is not to much different from LGW.

Well with the current wait times for the DME Tampa might be a better option.

We also used to live in lowestoft but have moved now to the other side of Norwich. We have always flown from Gatwick staying overnight in a hotel the night before but flew from Manchester this year as flights were cheaper

Wow you managed to escape Lowie... lol well done
But like so many others have said cannot believe so many of us on here ... we should all met up and start our own Lowie or Orlando travel company 🤣🤣
