Photo Editor +

I have Photo Editor + and I put my photos into albums with dates and comments. On the Misc. album it has locked up and I get the message
X BITMAP IMAGE IS NOT VALID can anyone advise me how to rectify this please. I can go to all the other albums but when I go to Misc. I have to reboot my computer to get out of it. Thanks for any help.

It sounds like, and you have probably guessed, that you have a corrupt photo in that album.

Do you know where they are stored on your hard drive? As in the directory?

If you do, perhaps try and look at that directory using the Windows Explorer and selecting the "Thumbnail View" from the menus, and see if one of your pictures does not show a thumnail.

If so, try moving it somewhere else and trying to load "Photo Editor+" again and see what happens.

Thank you for your reply. I have a Dell computer and I went to Windows Explorer but I could not find the directory. I expect you have realised I am not very computer minded,

Try looking inside "MY Documents" then "My Pictures" within it.

It may be in the "Program Files" Directory then within the program directory, which may be the maker or the program then the program name itself.

Finally, you could try a windows search from the start menu, and enter "*.jpg" (without the quotes) as the search.

Thank you for your help again, I cannot find the photos it looks like I will have to un-install and do it all again. This is Cosmi software and they have not been any help at all they do not know how to help me.
