Mobile Cashless at WDW?

Morning all,

Just starting to plan what to do in terms of spending money for WDW next year (staying onsite).

Is it possible to manage cashless at WDW?

I've a few dollars in cash from a previous holiday to get me started, but will be taking credit card (zero overseas fees), so would use that to link to magic band. Ideally don't want to withdraw from ATM on credit card, so wondering if need extra cash or a prepaid travel card for ATM withdrawals (aware will be charged for withdrawals too).

Basically are there areas when can't use magic band and only cash can be used?

Thanks

We stay onsite and are pretty cashless, we have a little bit as we get a taxi to and from the airport (don't do uber / lyft). I think, although I could be wrong, the only place we couldn't use the magic bands is when we went to the Swan & Dolphin hotels.

The only thing I had to pay cash for was from the balloon seller on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom.

I just take $100 in cash with me just in case, the rest of the time I'm going cashless.

We took $1000 cash last year and had hardly used it as it was easier to use our bands. This time we will take much less cash as it’s not necessary if you’re staying on site and want to use the bands. I appreciate sone people will prefer to use cash we just found it easier to use the bands 😊

I took a $400 over 2 weeks and ended up using it in Wallmart to get rid. Everything else was band or card. I came back with around $75. Next time I would probably just take what I have left.

Think my record was 4 weeks on $100 and that was because it was in a Christmas card! Card and Apple Pay is king.

We take about $100 in cash for tips. Bell services, skycap at the airport and Wolfgang Puck Express where you're served at the table but can't add a tip to your bill.

Just back in November, took $400 or so, used it almost exclusively to pay off room bill. Handy to have some cash 'just in case' but honestly I could imagine going entirely cashless.
