I would say probably but it does depend on which dining plan and how much Disney increase prices for 2021. You could probably get a moderate with QSDP.

Is that based on fact or assumption?

Can’t be based on fact as no one knows for sure. Every year it’s doubted that there will be free dining for the following year... still been offered this far. People were convinced it wouldn’t be because of galaxys edge but it still was.

We’re going over Feb half term. 2 adults, direct from lgw to mco, free qsdp with tickets at POFQ. £4800.

We went last Nov for 2 weeks over thanksgiving staying at all star music with only free breakfast for £3000 (including direct flights and tickets).

Def doable. This year we booked through travelplanners a few days after free dining opened.
For Nov last year we booked in about April/ May with virgin when they had the sale on.

Doable but depends on which hotel and what level of dining. For reference, we paid about £3300 for two of us for 10 days at AKL with DDP this November just gone. Flights were an additional approx £950. This was without spending money, money for tips, or anything additional.

We will be booking for October 2021 but we are waiting to see if free Dining is available. We are expecting to be paying more this time.

Definitely wait until the 'usual' time free dining is released, if it's not released and it's a figure you're still happy with then book.
I have 2 friends who are TAs, one is not so sure free dining will happen due to the 50th anniversary, another feels it'll be offered as it's been offered for numerous years but potentially watered down further. It's anybody's guess.
I'm currently booked in a (far superior) offsite hotel but if free dining comes out and it's a good deal I'll definitely be looking

Yes but it is more and more restricted each year.
