Do I buy a new camera?
I'm so confused. Hopefully, I can get some advice here?
I currently own a Fujifilm Finepix A204 - some 3+ years old - think it's a 2MB, 3x Optical zoom. Love the photos I get from this, sometimes get some blurry ones, but on the whole, very happy with the quality - after all, I'm not looking for professional photos, just happy snaps for memories. My problems with this camera:
I would like to stick with a Fuji brand - like the auto settings and am comfortable with how they work. Guess it also saves having to buy new memory cards too. Have been looking at the V10 and would seriously consider this. Does anyone know if it performs well with regards to my issues above? Have seen it online at PC World for £158. Or is there a better model or make that you would recommend instead? Guess I'm looking to spend around the £150 mark. Would love to find something with a greater optical zoom (think the V10 is 3.4), but it's not the be all and end all. Any advice would be really appreciated. Many thanks, Hayley.

In a compact camera,3x optical seems to be about the max on offer. I have 12x on mine but it is very bulky (not an SLR but it certainly won't fit in your pocket)
I have been recommened the Panasonic Lumix FX01 which I have seen for £172. I had a play with my friends and was very impressed, plus it will fit in your pocket. I've asked Father Christmas to bring me one for Christmas. We will just have to see if he has been listening. |

If you want a water camera the Pentax W10.
The Fuji F30 is great - especially for low light, and well worth stretching the extra bit of cash over the V10.

Hi - I work for amazon, in charge of cameras, and we have got the E900 on sale for £149.99 (9MP, 4x optical) - great camera and has had some amazing reviews. The V10 is £153 or the F30 (£190) is great, especially in low light conditions.

Ive looked at at all the cameras mentioned on this thread and I just cant decide... the Pentax seems quite reasonable for whats on offer and I like the Fuji F30... DH is trying to convince me to get Kodak Easyshare ...Im not convinced... my first priority for buying a digital camera is *How quick does it take pictures? (is this the shutter speed?)
the Fuji reckons 0.01s... can someone please give me some advice. Many thanks Elaine |

If you want to take quick pictures ie press the button and it takes it almost straight away thats the shutter speed, then its how long it takes to write the information to the card as thats how quick you can then take the next picture.
Trust me once you get a faster camera with higher resolution you will love it and take lots more pictures |
