From Covid to Cruise- the magical trip to nowhere!

Hello all,
So we bit the bullet and booked the 4 night Southampton Cruise leaving on the 9/8.

We have all missed our Florida trips but have been lucky to be able to work from home and the kids survived being home educated by all. Its fair to say, that we are all delighted that they are now back in school.

We fitted in a 3 night mini Uk break last summer and have a week in Devon booked for late August this year.

When the Dibb announced the DCL was sailing round the Uk we jumped at the chance for a Disney fix.

So here we are. We hoped to book a Ocean View cabin (9b) but they were all sold and only GYT cabins were available.

I was keen to choose the cabin, so we went with a 6a which is a white wall veranda at the very back (alf) of the ship. It has a large than normal balcony due to the curve in the ship.

Wondered when some pre trip reports would start to appear for the UK cruises. I’ll be following along to see how they go 👍

My husband is away on all cruise dates so we have opted for Disney next year instead.
