Virgin Refunds

Just wondering, does anybody know the current timescale for a refund from VH, it was previously about 4 months, is that still the same?

I did a claim for my cancelled May flight on the 11th April 2021. I had an E Mail confirming my refund on the 16th April 2021 stating it would take 14 days to appear on my Credit Card.

It actually took 2 days.

Edit. That was VA but I suspect the same Team handles VH refunds.

Had to do 2 refunds with them due to moving flights twice, both were fare difference refunds.

1st - Refunded me around 4 months after opening the claim with them (they quoted 120 days as their turnaround)

2nd - They were a blood nightmare took them 7 months to get this back and a letter from the financial ombudsman to get back the fare refund, i rung them weekly for the 7 month period chasing them up and surprisingly when i got the FO involved i was refunded within a week.

They are saying 14 days now for refunds.

This was also with VA and not VH so hopefully the holiday side of their business are bit more with it

Wow that's the good the bad and the ugly!
I've moved mine twice, 2nd time round they couldn't match the original price, so moved it to a cheaper hotel, so they owed me the difference, which took 4 months, but I'm now running out of patience as they have messed about with changing times and seating, and there is still so much uncertainty

had the hotel refunded from virgin in 24 hrs , heard nothing from them about the flights, which have changed twice in 12 months with virgin Atlantic yet, but holiday only cancelled for 28 may last night

We got our refund within about 10 days but that was for flights only with Virgin Atlantic.

Our holiday got cancelled 2 days ago and the email said 14 days for refund ... I will update you when we get it 👍
