Princess Cruises
Hi all
Just seen Princess are the latest cruise line to offer UK cruising. All looks good except everyone has to be vaccinated so that's me out as I have kids. |

Just read this morning that MSC will be UK cruising and no vaccinations required, all welcome. I believe they require a negative test within the 72 hours before sailing.

Yes so far it's P&O and Princess that require everyone to be vaccinated on these ad hoc summer cruises. They're planning on returning to their scheduled cruises from September 2021 onward. It seems to be a short term requirement until the dust settles. I believe they won't be selling inside cabins either for these initial cruises.
Mind you, have you seen the reported prices of these cruises to nowhere? £1200 for a 7 night cruise on P&O. Not cheap and I'm sure Princess will be priced equally as expensive. |

No word on what Cunard are expecting. I agree though pricing isn't looking cheap but its looking around what I expected to be honest. P&O look like June and July are only 3 and 4 night cruises and are starting at £399 for 3 and £499 for 4 night per person. I'm expecting very similar pricing for Princess and Cunard.

Princess released their “From” pricing on Friday £539pp for a 3 night, £599pp for a 4 night. These are the Princess Plus fares, so include beverages, gratuities and WiFi.

Excited about Disney

Deffo would consider Princess (arguably moreso than P&O) as I like the Royal class ships from what I have seen, and the idea of the Medallion tech. Sky Princess in particular looks beautiful.
However as with the P&O Cruises and my age, I still have no idea when I am likely to be vaccinated, so hesitant to book. If anything, it's now more likely to be MSC. Only if the rumours come through and we get a second option beyond Magnifica.

I am tempted by the Regal Princess 3 night cruise at the end of July.
You can pay extra and get WiFi and all alcoholic drinks. Never been on a Princess cruise, but thought this might be a good way to see what they are like. My husband and I will both be fully vaccinated by then too. Anyone booked one of the Staycations? Will we find enough to keep us occupied as there are no port stops? |

I ended booking Sky Princess itinerary for Sept. Rather over-excitedly, and am now panicked I won’t have been vaxxed in time! Oops!
But this will be my first time with Princess. I’m a ship geek so have been researching and ships doing these are Royal class and seem really nice on board.

We have sailed on the Regal Princess and she is a lovely ship with lots to do on board including outside gym equipment which is situated around the running track.

We're booked on Regal for a 4 night in August. Had the same thought as you in terms of a good way to see the ship plus its a holiday and God knows we all need one of them! We decided to splurg and booked a suite and did the drinks package thing as it works out such good value.
