Water parks August 2023

Hi all!
I appreciate this might be an unanswerable question but if anyone can answer it, The Dibb community can!
We’ve just booked our familymoon for August 2023; I know the water parks are closed at the moment but do you think they will be opened by then?
Also what does ‘park hopper hours’ mean? I’ve not been since 2011 and it seems quite a bit has changed!
Thanks in advance

Hopefully by 2023 everything should be back to close as normal as possible.

Thanks in advance
First, you need tickets with the park hopping option. If you buy your tickets from the UK with Disney direct, this option will be included already.

Currently, if you want to park hop to another WDW theme park, you can do so only from 2pm, after having visited first the park for which you've made a reservation for the day.

So, if you've booked Magic Kingdom and want to visit Epcot on the same day, you can do so after 2pm. You can then hop to any other park for the rest of the day.

Before Covid, you could park hop at any time.

This does not apply to water parks, only theme parks.

Thanks! We purchased through Disney but via TUI so I hope we’ll get the hopper option included?
So we’d make a reservation at MK, for example, then after 2pm we can go to another park without a reservation?
How far in advance would you recommend making park reservations?

Yes, they should include hopping too as it's the same tickets, 14 or 7 days ultimate tickets.

Correct for question 2, and I'd recommend making park reservations soon as your tickets are linked in MDE. I booked for May 2022 and my park reservations are done.

they should all be open by then but this past 15 months have shown that anyth8ng can happen so nothing is 100% certain.
I’d book park reservations ASAP to be on safe side
