Scotland - Edinburgh/Perth area?

Hi, would anyone have any recommendations for places to stay somewhere in between Edinburgh/St Andrews/Gleneagles/Perth area. Idea would be to visit Edinburgh and Perth but also make time for a couple of rounds of golf. We've already stayed/played Gleneagles so not there but a decent hotel to base ourselves to take in the area. Thanks

Fonab castle hotel and spa. Never stayed there so can’t actually recommend but looks nice.

Forgans in St Andrews for dinner.

Dalmahoy Edinburgh, again not stayed here but know a golfing family who have so could be near golf courses.

Plenty of places in Fife and more golf courses than you can shake a stick at!
Try the visit Scotland. Balgeddie house hotel in Markinch is good and the Old Manor in Lundin links is good too.
Fife is a great base, easy access to Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth and even Glasgow.
Mind you, I am a wee bit biased because I live there!

I’d suggest somewhere in Angus - Carnoustie Championship course is in Angus, St Andrews is only a 40 minute drive, Edinburgh around an hour.

If you base yourself in Angus you’re a short drive away from the most spectacular scenery of the Glens and also close to Glamis Castle, an hour drive from Aberdeen and around 15 minutes from Dundee (V&A is there).

I’m clearly biased as I live here but it has so much to offer ❤️

visitangus/ website will give you lots of info

I’d go with that too, but then we live in the East Neuk (Pittenweem). Glorious beaches, lots to see and do and a golf course at every turn. Love it here!
