So, I want to book using points, which I understand I can do at 2pm BST. But the DVC line opens at 9am, for cash bookings. I'm assuming I can't call and reserve then call back to pay with points later in the afternoon?

I’ve just got the email from ATD & looks like they’ll be ringing up customers on Wednesday/Thursday to get quotes. I think I’m just gonna book myself now online on Friday as I could probably be booked & all before they got back to me!

I can do all that without having to prove I'm vaccinated, have to test beforehand, wear a mask all the time, and prebook everything including the pool. And it'll cost a lot less.
Also does the Atlantic, Irish or North Sea count as "beautiful surroundings"?

Got my ATD email today and although myself and DH will be fully vaccinated my son & daughter-in-law probably won't be plus grandson aged 4 is expected to wear a mask (won't happen) so we have bailed out already

Maybe not, but the ship does! It's absolutely gorgeous, Art Deco themed and gives you the feel of the 'grand days' of ocean travel.

Also, are the travel agents more likely to be able to book rooms if there is a lot of demand, than us lot calling direct? Don’t they have a different booking system?

Just seen a sponsored ad on Facebook from ‘The Travel Gibbon” travel agent which says:
Based on the Disney Caribbean prices, they are likely to start at approx £3000 for a family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children sharing an inside stateroom) for a 2-3 night cruise (outside staterooms, balcony staterooms and suites will have higher prices). £3000 for 1 room for 2-3 nights? Seriously?! Will just be 2 of us but still 1 room. |
