I cannot wait to ride this coaster. If anything I’m glad there won’t be shoulder restraints - they give me such a headache when my head bounces off them 🥴😂

I'm with you on that! Even though the shoulder restraints are often uncomfortable and I usually bash my head on them I like the feeling of security and always pull them in extra tight as I'm a wuss

Although, if the lap restraint comes down over your head as in the picture of Iron Gwarzi then I might be brave enough to try it. I hate the lap bar on Riptide Rocket as I'm always (irrationally) worried the mechanism will fail and it will open and I won't be able to pull it back in

RRR gave my wife and I terrible headaches afterwards. Love the ride as well but I'm now too scared to ride again.

Now Gwazi is gone, RRR is the only coaster that I do not enjoy.

Makes me feel like I’m not missing so much in that case

I took my then 6 year old on Icon at Blackpool which has these restraints and I was terrified he was going to fall out, he absolutely loved it and we went on numerous times in quick succession. He'll be 9 when we do Velocicoaster and I am so so excited. These things are safe, they don't want lawsuits from injured people.

Don't get me wrong, it's a different experience. You get to choose your own music and can purchase your video from the ride which is pretty cool. It's a surreal feeling going up the vertical, but I couldn't work out why we got the headaches. Maybe we were tensing too much?

Hope we didn't put you off.

Aww not at all! I can’t ride as my waist is too large right now but hopefully I’ll have lost enough weight by the next visit and I’ll have a go
