I think that she is right. Just go with it. He could catch covid (or anything else) after you return and still miss the beginning of school.

We’re booked on the later flight which was after 1pm but I think it moved to 12.30. Think I need to update my countdown!

(I agree with the head tbh , when we got married in Florida we didn’t think the grandkids could come so booked for September , then great granny insisted they went. One was starting primary and another high school , they did four days and then were off for a week (actually ended up as a week and a day off school as the return flight was cancelled with tech issues) and both made the transition without issue (and the older one was going to high school as a boy having gone through primary as a girl so was potentially tricky anyway).

We booked 16-30 August with our family who are also teachers and true the parks tend to be quieter by mid August and if you can stand the heat and rain go for it.
