Don’t think your allowed to stay overnight in someone’s home yet? But have been tempted to do the drive up and down in one day just to see my mum (and get some Scottish supplies) and the rest of my family.

17th May I think is the date (if all goes to plan with cases)

I'm dying to see my family but they require an overnight stay.

Fingers crossed, when we go up to see my mum we stay with her.
Last Christmas was the first time in my whole life that we didn’t spend Christmas together and not seen her since last Aug when we where allowed to travel from England to Scotland.
Hopefully come June/July we will be able to meet up with my aunts and cousins 🤞

I’m Scottish and I’ve never had stovies either, are they from the North of Scotland?

This thread has brought my heritage in to question, I think I’m maybe not actually Scottish at all!

I don’t like square sausage and I wouldn’t thank you for a slice of batch loaf, the crusts are just too much hard work for me, chewing away for ages and to top it all off I don’t know what a stovie is either!

I love a tattie scone though, does that mean I still qualify

Tattie scones are the best, you're a true Scot 😂
