Clarion LBV Vs Enclave suites Int Dr

I have booked to go in Dec 2017 for Xmas. I originally booked the Clarion Hotel as we love the LBV area. There will be 3 of us. DH , myself and our 17 year old daughter. I did kind of rush into booking because I needed to know I was going . Anyway a few months down the line I have started worrying over our accommodation. Last year we stayed at LBV resort and spa , although a little out of the way I loved it here. I decided to give Virgin a ring and see how much it would be to go back there it was £2000 extra . Far more than I am willing to pay , so back to the drawing board. The lady mentioned the Enclave suites now have Superior suites , all newly renovated. So we could change there for £1000 extra and have 2 bedrooms and a living space with a kitchen , which would be nice as there for xmas day. I have stayed here before too. It was a long time ago and it was ok because we had a larger family. I am a bit worried about International Drive as it had become a horrible area and all the shops were closing down. I am sure it is different now but I still cannot make up my mind about the Clarion. It looks awful on the pictures. Can you walk to the crossroads from there ? Can people see in your room as they walk past? Please help me to decide

We are staying at clarion lbv for the second time next month, we like it there it is me OH and 4 yr old DS.
You can walk to crossroads about 20 mins and Disney Springs too. We love the black Angus at the bottom of the road and the dennys for breakfast, big wallmart only 10 min drive away and the area is quiet and nice. No you can't see into the rooms, they have net curtains and tinted windows so only way would be if you had light on in room with curtains open and it was dark! Pools are nice and we never had an issue getting a bed round either of them at any time of the day.

We stayed at enclave nearly 3 years ago and we wouldn't stay again unless newly renovated room was guaranteed. Not the best area on I Drive but location is great to get to Universal and only 5 mins away from much nicer south end of I Drive by pointe. If I am honest I wouldn't pay an extra £1000 to stay at the enclave, that is just my opinion though.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thank you for your reply. I do wonder if I am worrying for nothing.
