Uber - Correct type to carry foldable wheelchair ? - UberX / UberXL ?

Does anyone know if a regular UberX will allow carrying of a foldable wheelchair ? I can't find any mention of this anywhere.

There is mention of some larger vehicles/vans that allow someone to stay in a wheelchair but this isn't necessary.

Has anyone any experience of this ?

On the Uber web site under help then accessibility it states that partners are expected to assist with folding wheelchairs. So this tells me that even the x ride will accommodate your needs.
Most Uber drivers have large cars so I think you will be fine.

Just went to check on the Uber drivers forum and someone from the UK has asked about foldable wheelechairs. If you are Happymanuk you will know, if not check out Uberpeople and set your city to Orlando.

Thanks grumpybri - That was me asking the same question after I had posted on here. They didn't seem overly friendly on there though. I'm not sure how accurate it was either as the person replying saying no about Uber is a Mears taxi driver - and guess what, they recommend a taxis.

Yes, not a happy lot the Uber drivers. They get paid peanuts. I had an Uber guy pick me up in his Mears cab last year so they just pick up when they can.
