I didn’t have toothache but I had earache. I was so close to going to a Dr’s but decided to try Walgreens first as much simpler. I bought a couple of bottles off the shelf and it worked a treat. Whether that would work for toothache I’m not sure but might be worth a go.
Or, This is what it says in my Orlando Brits Guide: “If you need an emergency dentist, Mobile Dental ER has a mobile facility that can visit anywhere in the Orlando area, 7 days a week (9am-5pm). Keep receipts for insurance company. Call 407 955 0743 or mobiledentaler That might be slightly nicer and more personal than a dentist surgery if you’re anxious about it xx Edited at 06:21 PM. |

I’ve had a terrible time with my teeth lately so I definitely can sympathise! Try alternating paracetamol and ibuprofen. And salt water on the area should help with the infection.
Also you shouldn’t put heat on the infection - I found out the hard way... it makes it spread quicker apparently. I would call your insurance to ask what you’re covered for. You probably just need some antibiotics. I had an infection in mine and the antibiotics really helped in a couple of days. I hope you feel better soon. It’s terrible isn’t it. Especially when you’re nervous of the dentist too because you know you have to get it dealt with.

There’s a great dentist over there Keith Kanter I had an issue and he sorted it straight away if he is still doing treatment. He’s in the John Young Parkway I think it in that vicinity north of the airport.

The best thing to do is call your insurance and they will direct you to an approved dentist. they will then fix your tooth and you will be on your way for no charge..

Thought I'd try brave universal yesterday on just paracetamol, nope bad idea. The pain got that bad I pretty much ran out the park, jumped in a taxi to the nearest Walgreens pharmacy and have been told to take naproxen (Aleve). Hoping it works but still getting a bit of ache. Will be visiting the dentist tomorrow if it doesn't improve

I would suggest going to see the dentist as soon as possible, I know a lot of people don't like them (me included) but after having some problems with my teeth i go at the very first sign of any discomfort now, the only cure for tooth ache is to see a dentist, prolonging it and hoping it goes away could ruin your holiday when a 30 minute appointment in the dentist chair could mean you go through the rest of the holiday pain free, trying to ignore tooth ache is hard at the best of times.

You have spent thousands on the holiday, will prob cost a few hundred to fix. Personally I would just pay it, toothache will ruin the holiday.

OK - You need to go to a pharmacy and get Kanka Gel.
Its 20% anaesthetic - for comparison bonjella is only 1%. Its comes in a "pen" format with a brush at the end so you can put the brush just where you want it. I know it works because on a trip to NYC I ended up in the A&E on a Saturday night (with DH) . It was $600 just to walk through the door - let alone any treatment. The nurse came out and put a piece of paper in my hand - she had written Kanka Gel on it together with paracetamol. During the day I had had over a packet of paracetamol and was ready to pay whatever it took to get my tooth sorted. Within 1/2 hour of putting on the gel I was eating in McDonalds! i now always make sure I have some with me wherever I go. Hope it gets better soon x x |
