As the others have said I’d have a wet cut if your not happy with the blow dry, why pay extra and not be pleased with it ?

I always love my blow dry at the hairdressers I am totally useless at doing my own hair. I do go occasionally just for a blow dry if I am not ready for a cut.

I always have a wet cut too, my hair is a lot less wild if I allow it to dry naturally without heat.

I have started to say no blow dry for all the same reasons as everyone else - but my hairdresser insists they can’t let me leave with wet hair so they do a ‘rough’ dry - which I prefer but it costs me the same and is usually a 5 min blast with the hair dryer by one of the girls that does the shampooing.

I love my hair after my hair dresser has blow dried it - wish I could do it even half as well !

I am fortunate that my hairdresser has been cutting my hair for 16 plus years and I rarely have to utter a word as he knows how I like it and what suits my hair.
Infact I’ve just had it cut and highlighted at the weekend, first visit since December last year.
Maybe time to change your salon?

This is my future strategy, thanks

I’ve just changed salons as I had my previous hairdresser for 3 years and was always happy with the colour, cut and overall experience (often asked her to just rough dry it and she used to say she couldn’t send me out of the salon like that)
Anyway I found out after lockdown that, despite my explicit instructions to never use bleach on my hair, she had been doing. (I’d wondered why it was getting more coarse and straw like. I’d put it down to my age and hormonal changes post menopause).
That’s unforgivable in my book, so I’m currently trialling new salons.

But the blow dry dissatisfaction goes back more than 30 years and with different salons.

Why would she do that have you asked?
