Mobile Mco baggage route

Can someone remind me best route with baggage at mco please? First trip in 10 yrs. Just myself, wife and daughter and all capable of carrying suitcase. After immigration is it baggage reclaim then customs. Take cases onto rail shuttle then off to alamo garage. I think you can recheck cases rather than taking them on shuttle but quicker to take them.
Have I got this correct? Thanks for help

Absolutely correct.

If you can safely manage the escalator/stairs up to the monorail then I would certainly recommend avoiding the Courtesy Baggage Transfer.

Have you done skip the counter with Alamo? This allows you to go straight to the garage, pick your own car and avoid the terminal desks. If you have then stay on side B as you exit the monorail and down to the garage.

The exit from garage B is also best if you want to leave MCO by the 417 south.

Is there a lift there instead? - I'll be going with my mother who needs to use a wheelchair some of the time, so won't be able to go upstairs.

Thanks

There is a lift for people who can't manage the escalator or stairs. In theory others can't use the lift nor can you put luggage in it. I believe a staff member travels up and controls the lift.

That's what the accepted conditions are but having said that I'm sure there'll be someone who says we all used the lift.

Thank you. Going for the first time with a wheelchair so will wait and see. Haven't noticed them before as we've never needed them.

You may still have to use the courtesy baggage transfer if the rest of your party can't safely get all the luggage up in one trip.

In over 14 years on here I do my best just to quote accurate facts. Such as not being able to do multiple trips up and down the stairs or the fact that nobody else can use the lift. By saying these things I can bet that there will always be a respondent who says we went up and down the stairs 16 times or all 8 off us went up in the lift.

I'll take my chances.
