Gifts for nurses

My Dad is in a nursing home and I often take in Chocolates and Biscuits for the staff. I'm sure they just get loads.

Was thinking about Christmas. I can't afford to buy all the staff individual gifts as about 20 staff including cleaner, kitchen staff etc. What could I get them as an alternative to chocolate and biscuits 🤷

What about tea, coffee, sugar, some fancy teabags, luxury biscuits, cordial etc in a little hamper, often care homes have a kitty to put into for tea and coffee, I know they have in some I've worked in in the past

That would be a nice idea - for some season I had assumed they would get tea/coffee/drinks provided.

What about hand cream? 20 would be quite expensive so I'd suggest checking places like B&M or Home Bargains for nice smelling hand bag sized ones. My sisters are both nurses and have been getting through loads of hand cream, as they're doing extra hand washing and using hand gel their hands get dry and sore.

Cake! I've been a nurse/midwife for almost 40 years and something like a traybake never lasts long!

If possible buy two gifts and label them Day and Night Staff, so many times the Night staff come on duty to an empty box or the chocolates nobody else likes!

As a ward cleaner for 22 years I only ever received a gift from someone once (thrilled me to bits, they came back especially one night to seek me out). Everything was given to the nursing staff and they sometimes told me to help myself. Always chocolates! I think tea and coffee would be a good idea.
