Just had a look on google maps and it says 33 minutes. It’s definitely worth the drive.

Hire bikes and cycle round Celebration,or any of the other great bike trails lake Louisa State Park Big Cat Rescue Tampa
Old Town car show , go carting , zip lines , tree trek all easily got to if you are driving Giraffe Ranch I could name 100 things we’ve done outside the parks
And don’t forget crazy golf, cinema or combined Kennedy with Daytona if speed is your thing or just/a beach day if you are up that way
Pancake making at the Old Sugar Mill
We can spend weeks at the villa do something different every day a lot of free stuff and never visit a park
DH and my grown up sons have made me do things way out of my comfort zone when we’ve been in Florida

A lot of my days out above.
Pancake at the old sugar mill, and a dip in the springs.

Tubing or other state / national park activities.

I like spirit too. Slightly more expensive than some but a very memorable experience. Aim for early in day as more wildlife around.

I-fly.

Escape rooms

World of citrus quite good depending on ages.

But if not been before KSC would be top of my list.

If you fancy a seaplane trip Tavares (could be combined with Mount Dora) is another idea.

Harry P Leu gardens are nice and when we went we were able to look round the house. Any one of the State Parks or more than one as they are all lovely in different ways, one of our favourites is De Leon State Park and take an eco boat ride followed by a visit to the restaurant and cook our own pancakes on the griddle in the middle of the table (only time in his life dh does any ‘cooking’). We have also enjoyed visits to Wild Florida and Gatorland.

Wow spoilt for choice! Thanks everyone
Ds really fancies the airboat and it’s good to know you don’t need to go all the way to the Everglades for this
