Candles in hand luggage

Sad to say we need to start thinking of packing the cases for our flight home tomorrow. We have purchased a few Yankee candles and the lady in the shop stated that you can take candles in your hand luggage? Is this correct I suppose it's not a liquid ?

You can take the Candels but not the gel ones but be prepared to have them tested at security so wrap them that you can easily get into them

We had several candle in hand luggage going home in May but as Gryff mentions be prepared to be pulled out for extra security checks as we were... I wasn't prepared for this and was having a panic they would take the candles off me, thankfully once checked we were on our merry way with them

I had some B&BW candles in my hand luggage this year . Nobody bothered looking at them at all. We did fly from Tampa though. I will be bringing some back in hand luggage next year Def pack them in your hand luggage

I have seen nothing to say they cannot go in hand luggage, but we never took a chance and put them in the cases

I've taken (lots) of Yankee candles in my hand luggage and as others say, you will be pulled for additional checks but you can carry them.

We travelled with hand luggage only on our last trip and brought home three of the large Yankee Candles. Other than being a bit heavy we didn't have any issues with them. No one at security said/did anything about them.
One of them is burning right now - Pumpkin Apple Pie. The house smells good enough to eat.
