Checking in luggage at resort

Has anyone successfully checked in their luggage at a Disney resort? We are travelling home tomorrow with United Airlines who do onsite check in. But the check in agents have told me they can’t do it since our very last flight is not a united one (it was booked on one ticket through United).

I suppose there’s nothing that can be done if they say that’s the case but I can’t help feeling disappointed that this isn’t available. 😕

Are you sure on site check in is not for domestic only?

I’ve always been told on site check in is for domestic only - whoever you book your ticket through so UK passengers can’t use it. Annoying but always been that way!

They might not check you in, but they do let you borrow their scales to check your suitcase

United Airlines advertise that they do international as well as domestic, I think they may be the only airline.

We checked our luggage in at Port Orleans Riverside with United (via Newark) to Manchester a few years ago. The only problem we found was that it took as long to do it at hotel as it would at the airport and each traveller has to check in their own luggage with passport so boarding cards are issued too.

Just an update if anyone is interested. So we decided to go and ask again, reception seemed to think there shouldn’t be a problem. Got a different agent and he checked our flight details, made a call to the airport and told us he could check in the cases. It was really brilliant getting rid of them at the hotel and picking them up at Aberdeen. We were picked up by the Magical Express at 11am and our flight was at 3 (they were actually going to pick us up at 12 since the first flight was domestic but I asked it to be changed.) We didn’t really have loads of time to spare, just enough time to get a sandwich once we were through security, I would have been worrying a bit if we’d had to stand at check in. Home now though, back to reality 🙁
